What exactly are replacement coils and why do they matter?
Here's the thing - your vape coil is basically the heart of your entire setup. It's that little component inside your tank or pod that heats up your e-liquid and turns it into vapour. Without a decent coil, you're not vaping anything.
Most coils contain a wire (or mesh) wrapped around some cotton wicking material. When you press that fire button, electricity flows through the wire, it heats up, and boom - your e-liquid gets vaporised. Simple enough, right?
But here's where it gets interesting. Different coil types give you completely different experiences. Sub-ohm coils (anything below 1.0 ohm resistance) are built for direct-to-lung vaping with bigger clouds and more vapour production. Higher resistance coils work better for mouth-to-lung vaping, which feels more like smoking a traditional cigarette.
The problem is, coils don't last forever. That constant heating and cooling cycle eventually burns out the wire or gunks up the cotton. Most people need to change their coils every 3-4 weeks, though it depends on how much you vape and what e-liquids you're using.
