Packing up cigarettes can seem like an impossible task, however 2018 is a better time than ever to give up for good, with a plethora of new ways to aid you in your journey, from nicotine patches, gum, online courses and even vaping!
With a massive NHS led campaign highlighting the dangers of smoking over the past decade smoking has seen a massive decline with more and more of us quitting than ever. According to the office of national statistics and NHS led Smokefree 2.9 million adults use electronic cigarettes as of 2016 and 1.5 million of those users have given up cigarettes for good. These are astonishing numbers, showing vaping has been accepted within British society as a working and brilliant smoking cession method.
All our staff members are ex-smokers and vapers, we've asked a few of them to highlight how they quit smoking by vaping!

"I started smoking at 18-year-old as a social smoker, and quickly found myself smoking up to 20 cigarettes a day. I knew the dangers of smoking but still had no intention of giving up, as I enjoyed too much and depended on it for stress relief as well as just to keep my hands busy.
A friend of mine recommended a pod mod to me, as it was unlike any ecig I’d seen before I gave it a try and found myself down to less than 5 cigarettes a day, after a few weeks I’d quit completely and haven't smoked since.

"I started smoking at the age of 18 and was a 20 a day man easy. I used to love my first cig of the day in the morning on the way to work., but over the years I found myself getting fed up of the cost of it and after a while I found myself getting some serious chest pains so I thought it’s time to quit now.
I decided vaping was going to be the best way for me to quit. So, at the age of 22 I went down to my local vape shop having 4 cigs on the way and I bought my first set up. I never looked back, I found vaping a whole lot cheaper and the chest pains I had went away after a week or so. I've been vaping 3 years now and I feel healthier than ever!"
Zam, 35, Solihull
"I started smoking in my teens with my friends as a social smoker, within a few years I'd progressed to more than 20 a day. Over the years I'd smoked without any intention to quit, a few health scares later and poor performance while playing sport gave me the will to begin quitting.
I struggled with quitting on and off for a few years, I'd quit for months at a time and relapse normally on holiday or stressful times. A friend of mine worked at a vape shop and recommended me a vape kit, at this time vapes weren't as good as they are now, so I had a small pen style ecig with a clearomizer and an 18mg eliquid. I immediately stopped smoking and was vaping full time. Vaping gave me my health and performance back, I never felt the need to go back to smoking as I was completely happy with the satisfaction and feeling vaping replicated.
I've been vaping now for many years, and haven’t looked back since."
