The Smok Nord 4 starter kit is a powerful vape that boasts an impressive variable wattage range of 5 - 80W. The 80 Watt maximum wattage supports sub-ohm vaping for a stronger hit. As the power is adjustable with an output as low as 5 Watt, the Nord 4 vape can also be used for MTL vaping. It’s activated using the fire button near the top of the device.

Coil and Pod Compatibility

The Nord 4 pod vape kit comes with two atomisers, an RPM coil and RPM 2 coil—although it’s compatible with all RPM & RPM2 coils, which are sold as a pack of 5. The RPM2 coil is a 0.16Ω ohms mesh coil with a wattage range of 25W - 50W. Its optimal wattage, which it performs best at, is 40W. The pre-installed RPM coil is a 0.4Ω mesh coil which works best at 25W. These push-fit coils can provide intense flavour and incredible vapour production, perfect for cloud chasers or those who enjoy strong flavours.

The Nord 4 device also comes with two refillable 2ml pods. It comes with an RPM pod, and an RPM2 pod. The RPM pod is exclusively compatible with RPM coils, whilst the RPM 2 pod is only compatible with RPM 2 coils. Each pod features a magnetic connection which keeps it snug and secure inside the device. These are side-filling pods with a rubber plug that can be removed to reveal a refill port beneath.

Which wattage should I use with the Smok Nord 4?

The best wattage depends on the coil you are using. For the 0.4Ω RPM coil, 25W is recommended. For the 0.16Ω RPM 2 coil, the sweet spot is 40W. Generally, high-resistance coils (for MTL) should stay between 5W - 25W, while low-resistance mesh coils should be used at 25W or higher.

How often should I replace the coils in my Nord 4?

We recommend replacing your coil every 1–2 weeks, depending on how frequently you vape and the type of e-liquid used. If you notice a burnt taste or a drop in flavour production, it is time to slide out the old coil and prime a new one.

Can I use Nic Salts with the Smok Nord 4?

Yes! If you prefer MTL vaping with nicotine salts, we suggest using a high-resistance RPM coil (such as the 1.0Ω or 1.2Ω) and setting the wattage to a lower range (under 15W) for a smooth throat hit.
