The new ‘heat not burn’ heating blade within the Terea sticks has been created by IQOS exclusively for the Iluma Terea tobacco sticks. This new heating method is not compatible with previous generations of IQOS heated tobacco devices, and so you should not attempt to use them with other such devices.

The IQOS Iluma devices induction system is a new form of ‘heat not burn’ technology. Research suggests that these Heat not burn systems are able to reduce the risk of exposure to some levels of carcinogenic chemicals such as carbon monoxide by up to 95% when compared to traditional tobacco products which are burned rather than gradually heated. Terea sticks do not produce ash, tar or smoke due to the fact that they do not reach temperatures high enough to cause them to burn.  As they’re not being burned or ignited, they also don’t create the same lingering odours as tobacco products, making your nicotine experience far more pleasant overall.
