Tag lined as one of the most influential people in the world of vaping, RiP shares his passion for e-cigarettes by inspiring viewers through product reviews, coil building tutorials and giveaways. But who is this enthusiastic, hairy guy? We delve into the world of the man behind the lens and under the beard…
Who is RiP Trippers?
Often found pulling comical facial expressions and wearing equally comical knitted hats (though I don’t think the comedy is intended), RiP is a viral sensation. The US born reviewer known for his quirky slogan; “Smoking is dead, vaping is the future, the future is now!” started vaping four years ago when he launched his own rebuildable atomiser in 2012. The AC9 was launched to the public and shot him to success when it was dubbed one of the most desirable vaping devices on the market.
What Does he Do?
After the success of AC9, Trippers sold his company share to his former partner and began to create his own line of vaping juices; Vapetrik. RiP launched his own website and began creating YouTube videos testing and reviewing other products on the market and inspiring other wannabe vapers to start their story with e-cigarettes and other vaping devices.
RiP also posts tutorials on how to build coils and even coined the terms Nano Coil, Chimney Coil, Tricro Coil, Diamond Coil, Tin Man Coil and Flat Bastard Coil (he’s a natural with words). With an impressive repertoire and collective fan base, this man is indeed helping to expand the vaping world.
What is Vapetrik?
Vapetrik is the love child of RiP Trippers and his love for vaping. Passionate about helping the community realise that vaping is the healthier and brighter future for smokers, he created his company to supply fans and buyers with the vaping tools they need to get themselves started on the journey he’s never looked back from.
Aspiring to develop and create intensely flavoured e-juices for his own use, Vapetrik allows fans to purchase and try them too. With exotic flavours including Mardi Gra; a sweet and sour citrus medley to enchanting flavours from your childhood such as Rainbow Nuggets; fluffy magical goodness, Vapetrik has a flavour to suit any age (permitting that you are 18+ of course), mood and taste.
What’s with the Ripping into RiP Conspiracies?
So some of you may have heard or seen the many ‘Unsubscription Party’ videos that are taking over YouTube by fellow ex-fans of RiP. After being caught up in a web of conspiracies that he’s been taking bribes from e-cigarette companies to produce positive and non-realistic reviews on their products. Labelled a ‘sell out’, Trippers was interrogated live on Mod Envy by a fellow vaper called Twisted420 who made the accusations against RiPs seemingly dishonest reviews and ‘lies’ claiming that he doesn’t get paid for his work when he actually does. Another rumour that flew around the virtual world is that many of his subscribers had in fact been bought.
However (that’s a big however with a capital H), there has been no sufficient evidence to prove that these allegations against Trippers are true. The poor fella has had a hard time from YouTubers jumping onto the ‘ripping into RiP’ bandwagon, but case stories have come forward from associates working at said vendors that clarify they did not pay Trippers to publicly endorse their products.
Who knows, but regardless of any conspiracies, our man Trippers hasn’t backed down and is still winning the hearts of beginner vapers across the nation. Hopefully his future will continue to be as capti-vaping as his videos!
