OUR CHILDREN ARE VAPING (no they’re not) & “Project 21”.

There is a huge wave of speculation hovering over the community that Vaping is looking appealing to children or in the eyes of the media; “WE ARE ADVERTISING VAPING TO CHILDREN”.

Speaking for ourselves at Grey Haze we fail to see how this is the case. We take the same precautions that any Licensed Public House would take to give a clear image of how seriously we take our responsibility to make sure these tobacco harm reduction products don’t end up in the wrong hands. Advice is given to any customers with children on how to store and maintain their eCigs safely and away from children, there are 18+ signs on the entrance to the shops and we operate a strict “Project 21” scheme that all of our staff are extensively trained in before officially starting on the shop floors. In short, if you look under the age of 21, please be prepared to produce valid I.D. in the form of either a driving licence or a passport (no other forms of I.D. will be accepted by our staff) but don’t worry, you won’t be asked for a utility bill or anything!

We do however understand how one aspect of the industry could be misconstrued as our flavour menus can look mouth wateringly delicious to anyone not just the quitting smoker, this is where “Project 21” kicks in, in full force! Our website even has to clarify that you are at least over 18 years of age before you can enter and browse. Unfortunately we cannot control the communication between a vaping parent and their child, we can advise and educate the parent in the hopes they will take their responsibility towards first and foremost their child and then the protection of the industry seriously enough to do the right thing, vape responsibly and be vape aware.
